KwaZulu-Natal - A fisherman was attacked and shot by two men on the beach at Winkelspruit, Amanzimtoti, on Sunday morning, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
“The motive of the attack is unknown at this stage. Amanzimtoti police are investigating a case of attempted murder and no arrest has been made at this stage,” Colonel Jay Naicker said.
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said the 50-year-old man was fighting for his life after he was shot several times.
“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the beach sand in a critical condition,” Botha said.
