Lichtenburg man held for girlfriend’s murder

Cape Town – A 46-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend in Boikhutso near Lichtenburg, North West police said on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said the man was arrested on Monday after he allegedly stabbed Motlalepule Modise, 35, with a knife at Extension 3.

“According to information, the couple were at their friend’s place when an argument erupted that led to the fatal stabbing. The suspect is expected to appear in the Lichtenburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, facing a charge of murder.”
