Pietermaritzburg - A man was sentenced to life in prison by the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Tuesday for murder, robbery and arson, police said.

Siyabonga 'Joe' Ndlovu, 29, was sentenced to two life terms for two counts of murder, 15 years for robbery, and 25 years for arson, Colonel Jay Naicker said.

In July last year, police found the bodies of Marlin Louw, 88, and Njabulo Khoza, 21, burnt to death in a house in the Keates Drift area, Msinga, which had been set alight.

A case of murder, arson and robbery was opened at the Msinga police station.

Ndlovu was later arrested. His accomplice is still at large.
