Pampierstad - A man has been jailed for life for raping a five-year-old girl, Northern Cape police said on Friday.
Kabelo Mathe, 30, was sentenced by the Taung Regional Court on Thursday, said Lieutenant Olebogeng Tawana.
The court also jailed Thabo Khonkhobe, 23, for raping a 16-year-old girl in front of her six-year-old sister on August 23
last year. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
“Both accused were refused bail and they have spent the rest of the time behind bars since their arrest,” Tawana said.
