Five people accused of defrauding the health department in Limpopo appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

The two senior officials and three former employees were granted bail of R20,000 each and the case was postponed until April 18, SABC radio reported.

Sipho Baloyi, Betty Kubayi, Gordon Monye, Gloria Rampa and Vincent Mojela allegedly defrauded the department of R13 million.

The fraud apparently took place at Polokwane Provincial Hospital and Mankweng Nursing College. - Sapa
