Limpopo - An alleged love triangle turned deadly on Friday after a man shot and killed his girlfriend and her alleged lover and then turned the gun on himself at Seshego Zone 2.

The tragedy occurred after a shop cashier from Elim, was allegedly caught red handed by her boyfriend with another man in her house. The boyfriend is reportedly asked his girlfriend to chose between him and the other man.

It is alleged that one of the men lived five houses away from the cashier’s rented apartment. When the man visited the woman early in the morning after which a quarrel ensued over access to her bedroom.

The man fired countless bullets, killing his girlfriend and her alleged lover. The assailant then turned the gun on himself.

Seshego police spokesman Mothemane Malefo said three bodies were found in a pool of blood at the cashier’s flat.

Malefo said the names of the deceased will be released as soon as their next of keen have been informed.

Malefo said two murder counts of murder and inquest has been opened following the incident.

Shocked and traumatised colleagues of the cashier and members of the community gathered at the scene.

“So far only two victims has been identified, the boyfriend who was shot and the girl, the armed boyfriend identity is still unknown,” said Malefo.
