Polokwane - Three suspected rhino poachers have been arrested in Polokwane, Limpopo police said on Sunday.
They were arrested during an operation on Friday morning, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.
A rifle, axe, and saw were found in their possession.
“The three suspects were allegedly on their way to poach rhinos in the Vaalwater area,” he said.
“The suspects are currently being profiled to see if a possibility exists that they can be linked with previous rhino poaching cases in the province.”
They are due to appear in court on Tuesday, said Mulaudzi.
