Johannesburg - Some of Lolly Jackson’s assets including a luxury vehicle, jet skis, quadbikes, motorbikes, helmets and other riding gear are to go under the hammer.
The goods will be auctioned in Pretoria next Thursday to generate money that will go into the estate of the late Teazer’s boss, which is yet to be finalised because of troubles with the taxman.
A Porsche 911 Turbo 930, two Sea-Doo jet skis and trailer, a Suzuki quadbike and Aeon Overland quad, four motorbikes - a Suzuki GSX-R1000, Aprilia RS125, Aprilia RSV and Ducati 916 SPS, helmets and other riding gear will be up for offer to anyone with money.
Jackson’s wife Demi, who was surprised to get a call from The Star about the auction, said she had hoped to keep it private. She said she was getting rid of “the stuff as it is gathering dust and I don’t want it to get damaged”.
The money generated would go into her late husband’s estate and to pay debtors.
“I just want to get rid of it and get everything sorted out.”
Demi also said Jackson’s estate had not been wound up because of tax issues. In March, it was revealed that Jackson had an outstanding tax bill of about R100 million. “Since we took over the estate, we have been paying the taxman.”
Jackson was murdered on May 3, 2010, allegedly by George Smith, also known as George Louca, who is in custody in Cyprus, where attempts to extradite him are under way.
On Monday, The Star published an article about a voice recording of Louca in which he appears to claim to have witnessed the murder.
Demi said reading it brought back bad memories. The only thing that comforted her was that her husband’s death was quick.
“We just want closure. We want to know what happened, we want to be at peace. I want him (Louca) to come back and tell the truth,” she added.
