Mathew Naidoo, convicted of masterminding the murder of his ex-girlfriend's parents, has been moved to a high security prison, the Daily News newspaper reported on Thursday.
The newspaper quoted prison officials as saying he had been moved from Westville Prison near Durban to Kokstad's Ebongweni Correctional Centre for its rehabilitation programmes.
The prison houses some of the country's most dangerous prisoners.
The Lotter siblings, Nicolette and Hardus, killed their parents Ä Riekie and Johan Lotter Ä in 2008 under instruction from Naidoo, who it emerged during the highly publicised trail had claimed to be the “Third Son of God”.
Naidoo denied taking part in the murder while the Lotter siblings claimed that they had been forced to carry out the murders.
According to the newspaper, the Lotter siblings had not been moved from Westville Prison.
The newspaper quoted a prison source as saying that Naidoo had been moved because he had spoken to the media Ä an assertion that was denied by prison authorities.
Naidoo is serving two life sentences. Nicolette was sentenced to 12 years' in jail, and her brother Hardus to 10 years' imprisonment. - Sapa
