ANC Youth League president Julius Malema has dared the Hawks to lay charges against him, the Daily Sun reported on Monday.

“Bring it on! I am tired of being threatened,” Malema told the newspaper.

“Everybody is setting the Hawks on me. I have never done anything wrong and maybe it would be better if the Hawks charge me so that I can explain these allegations in front of a magistrate.”

Malema was responding to reports that he faced arrest on charges related to his financial affairs.

He said if the Hawks had any evidence against him then they should prosecute him.

“If the Hawks are going to open a case against me, that's good. Let those who have evidence come forward,” said Malema.

“Those SMSs they are talking about and the money they say they deposited into my account must be explained in court.”

The Hawks declined to comment on the matter on Monday morning.

The Times reported that a joint investigation by the Hawks and the SA Revenue Service into the youth leader's financial affairs was almost complete.

It said the probe was “as good as complete” and it was “just a matter of time” before authorities acted. - Sapa

You all sound like you against Malema. the Hawks are just president's zuma puppet. that's why he disband the scorpions so that he can do what he likes with south african system. Malema is africa's next Gadhaif and you can all go to hell on what you think about him unlike other leaders who play mind games and become puppet of the west and europe. Juju will win this one and after that goodbye puppet president zuma welcom motlante

someone very powerfull is out there to destroy Malema. Same power game that previal during Mbeki's time, using state agencies to victimise and shut up people for political gains. people are trying buy all means to keep their polictical careers at the expense of Juju. even f he can be charge, remember, innocent until proven guilty. Zuma & Anc GS are behind this, even a blind person can see that, 2012, we cant wait for the "REGIME CHANGE" in the ANC.

This is pure nonsense! There is no case against this young man. State institutions are being employed to persecute this young man in order to settle political scores. It is clear that the spurious charges brought by Jacob Zuma and Gwede Mantashe are desperately failing to do the trick i.e deal with this young man once and for all. SARS is also being called in to find something. The Public Protector is aso being called upon to do her bit. Where is justice in all these things, it sounds to me like violation of this young man's rights. This is not the South Africa we fought for, we fought for a culture of human rights not where your human rights depend on whether you support Jacob Zuma or Gwede Mantashe. These guys are really not serious when it comes to tackling corruption. We are told that they are after Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale, with the ANC Provincial Conference coming in December. Obviously they know that he is going to win and now want to use every trick in the book to trip him. Why do not they go and fish in those cesspools of corruption in Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal where political families are busy drinking from government troughs? The persecution of Julius Malema is going to backfire big time. This kind of injustice will not stand and Mangaung is going to read the ANC of all these people who abuse their political positions. In the first place, some of them have such checkered backgrounds that they would not have even qualified to become a security guard, let alone president or cabinet minister. Now I remember what President Thabo Mbeki said when he did not want these people to occupy the highest office in the land:"I am afraid they will not have respect for the Constitution and the democratic institutions we have put in place".

Dam Malema you never know when to shut up do you. My mother always said be careful what you say or your mouth will get you into trouble. How do you explain the lavish capilitist lifestyle. You hypocrite. You run them down but live like them. You earn +- R20 000.00 per month but spend that in a day. You piece of crap. I am poor but honest. I hope you get arrested you has been you will go to jail for corruption and this time your mouth will get you into trouble. If there is any law left in this country and had sars not been told to investigate you because of your big mouth. And tramping on the wrong toes. Other wise the law would have been on your side. Hell you are dum. See malema with no capitol letter. There are 2 laws in this country. One for the anc and on for the law abiding Citizens. They anc are above it we arent. Welcome to planet earth nitwit where the men live not the sissys who hide behind the law protected by evil skelms
