Johannesburg - A 26-year-old man is expected to appear in the Zeerust Magistrate’s Court after he allegedly set his girlfriend's rented room alight, North West police said on Sunday.
The two had an argument on Saturday, said spokesperson Captain Pelonomi Makau.
“It is alleged that the suspect poured petrol in the room before setting it alight. Total damages to the house are estimated at R5 000.”
He would appear in the Zeerust Magistrate’s Court on Monday to face charges of arson. - Sapa
