Eastern Cape - A man was arrested after he allegedly murdered his girlfriend and her lover at Boyleni Location in Butterworth, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.
The 35-year-old man apparently went to the home of his girlfriend in Bawa Village on Sunday morning after he was told that she was sleeping with another man, said Captain Jackson Manatha.
“Upon his arrival, he forced the door to the house open and began to assault the two with a hard object,” he said.
A 25-year-old woman and a man, 29, were declared dead on the scene due to the injuries they sustained.
Residents caught the man in the village and alerted police.
He will appear in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. - Sapa
