Cape Town - A man has been arrested for shooting dead a six-year-old girl in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, police said on Tuesday.
Lt-Col Andre Traut said the man fired three shots, one of which killed the girl and wounded a four-year-old boy in the leg in Lentegeur on Monday afternoon. An 18-year-old was also wounded and was taken to hospital.
“The motive is unknown,” said Traut.
The 23-year-old man would appear soon in court.
