Johannesburg - A man accused of robbing and killing another man in Tswelelang township is expected to appear in the Wolmaransstad Magistrate's Court on Monday, North West police said.

Two men, aged 23 and 24, left a tavern in the township's extension 15 together in the early hours of Saturday morning, Captain Pelonomi Makau said.

The 24-year-old was found dead in the area around 1am after being stabbed in the hip with a knife.

“...The suspect then (allegedly) robbed the victim of an undisclosed amount of cash... Police were informed and the suspect was arrested on the scene,” Makau said.
