A man was arrested for possession of perlemoen with an estimated street value of R400 000 in Gansbaai, in the Western Cape, on Tuesday morning, said police

Lt-Col Andre Traut said police found the 3476 shucked perlemoen during a vehicle search.

He said an accomplice of the 52-year-old man escaped. - Sapa
