Johannesburg - A man was arrested on Friday night in Snake Park, Dobsonville in Soweto in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old girl, Gauteng police said.
Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said the 30-year-old man allegedly murdered the teenager last week and dumped her body in a yard in Snake Park.
“We arrested the suspect for that murder and we linked him to two other murders,” he said.
“One is a case of a girl last year, who was murdered and dumped in the same street. We also linked him to another case committed in Rustenburg after he attempted to rape a woman. He killed her.”
Makhubela said the man stayed in the same street as the two girls he allegedly killed and it was near the same street he dumped the bodies.
He is expected to appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court soon. - Sapa
