Johannesburg - A man was shot dead and another injured during a robbery in Crown Mines on Thursday, Johannesburg metro police said.
“Three men shot at two others in a Toyota van on the M2,” said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.
One of the men died on the scene while the other was taken to hospital.
The three men allegedly robbed the two occupants of the van of an undisclosed amount of money and sped off in a grey Audi. Minnaar said traffic was blocked off from Main Reef Road in Crown Mines just before 3pm. Motorist were advised to avoid the M2 on-ramp from Main Reef Road.
