A 47-year-old man was found dead at his home in Amalinda near Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape at the weekend, police said.

Captain Mluleki Mbi said he had a gunshot wound to the head.

Robbery appeared to have been the motive as the house was ransacked and some items were missing.
