Johannesburg - A woman was allegedly hacked to death by her husband in Protea North on Tuesday, Soweto police said.
“The husband struck her with an axe on the forehead after their kids went to school,” said Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela.
He then locked the house, left and later phoned his neighbours, asking them to inform the domestic worker that she must go see what he had done in his bedroom.
“She got there and found that the woman was cut on the forehead with an axe. She called the police.”
A murder case was opened and police were searching for the man, said Makhubela.
