A man has been arrested in Grahamstown for abducting and raping his daughter, Eastern Cape police on Thursday.
He was arrested on Wednesday at around 6pm, said Captain Mali Govender.
She said the 43-year-old man, who was on parole for murder, first raped his 16-year-old daughter in early September.
He subsequently appeared in court and was released on R500 bail.
On October 9, the man then abducted his daughter after she returned from a holiday. He then allegedly raped her again, and severely beat her before fleeing.
The man is expected to appear in the Grahamstown Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of abduction and multiple counts of rape. – Sapa
