Johannesburg -

A 27-year-old man is expected to appear in the King Williams Town Magistrate's Court on Monday, in connection with the death of a Somalian man, Eastern Cape police said.

Lieutenant Siphokazi Mawisa said a 36-year-old man was stabbed to death on October 19 in his shop in Alice.

“A follow-up investigation led police to the arrest a man. It is alleged that this suspect was involved in the murder of a Somalian man that occurred on October 19,” Mawisa said.

“They (the police) immediately took him for questioning where he was later charged for the murder. The other seven suspects that were involved in this murder are still at large… Police recovered a knife in his possession.”

Investigations continue, Mawisa said. - Sapa
