Johannesburg - A Mozambican man accused of possessing human body parts appeared in the Malamulele Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, Limpopo police said.

The case against Samson Majoko, 35, was postponed to July 31 for further investigation, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.

Police arrested Majoko in June while following up information about a man wanting to sell body parts, Mulaudzi said at the time.

“Police rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect, who was allegedly sitting in a vehicle and had a plastic bag containing private parts and two hands in his possession,” he said.

A day later detectives found the body of the person from whom the parts were thought to have been cut.

“The body will be taken to forensics to determine whether the body parts found belong to the deceased,” Mulaudzi said.
