Man in court for raping daughter

A 47-year-old man appeared in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Monday for allegedly raping his daughter in Ga-Mothapo, Limpopo police said.

He remained in custody and would be back in court on July 19, Constable Moses Molepo said.

The 11-year-old was walking home from school in the Ga-Mmamabolo area on June 29 when a man picked her up and raped her.

The girl went to a local pastor who alerted the police. She was taken to hospital where the rape was confirmed. – Sapa
