Mankweng - A man appeared in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Monday in connection with the murder and rape of a 16-year-old girl in Ga-Mothapo, Limpopo police said.
Constable Moses Molepo said the case against the 23-year-old was postponed to February 11, when he would apply for bail.
Police also arrested his 17-year-old girlfriend on Monday because they suspected she played a part in the murder. She would appear in court on Tuesday.
The man was arrested on Saturday for the murder of Dikeledi Mehlape on December 27 last year. The girl's decomposed body was found on a mountain in the Ga Thoka area. She was raped before she was stabbed to death. - Sapa
