Johannesburg - A man was sentenced to 20 years in jail by the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Thursday for killing a Catholic priest.
Siqiniseko Dlamini, 21, was sentenced to a further 10 years for robbing the priest, Senzo Mbokazi, 35, KwaZulu-Natal police said in a statement.
The sentences would run concurrently.
Two other accused, Khulekani Mbatha, 19, and Mduduzi Mabaso, 26, pleaded not guilty to the crimes and would appear in the Mthunzini High Court on Monday.
Mbokazi was stabbed and strangled at the Magwaza Mission in Melmoth in November 2011. - Sapa
