A man was killed and another badly burnt in a mob justice incident in Lion Park, north of Johannesburg, emergency services said on Saturday.

Spokesman Robert Mulaudzi said community members assaulted two men aged 18 and 25.

“One (man) was burnt to death and another had third degree burns, he was airlifted to the Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital,” he said. - Sapa
