Johannesburg - A 52-year-old man was stabbed to death in a Soweto shebeen in the early hours of Saturday morning, Gauteng police said.
Police in Zondi, Soweto were searching for a 26-year-old man in connection with the stabbing, said Warrant Officer Kay Makhubele.
“The two had a fight and one took a knife and stabbed the other several times.
“The man died at the scene.”
Makhubele said the 26-year-old fled the scene after the incident.
“We are currently searching for the suspect but have no knowledge of his whereabouts. The girlfriend is currently assisting us with the search,” he said. - Sapa
