A 37-year-old-man from Manenberg was shot dead outside a Cape Town private school on Monday afternoon in full view of pupils and parents, the Cape Times newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Rashied Moses, 37, was shot in the face and neck at St George’s Grammar School in Mowbray as children walked through the school gates to meet their parents. He died at the scene.
Headmaster Julian Cameron said the shooting took place about 500m from the school.
“The school was out already,” he told the Cape Times. “There were a small number of learners, staff members and parents who came to fetch their children who witnessed the incident.
“Fortunately, none of them were hurt. We have put in place steps to ensure that the children who witnessed the incident go through trauma counselling.”
Witnesses said a scuffle broke out between two men and a woman, which led to the fatal shooting.
Police spokesman Captain Frederick van Wyk said a 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene after he allegedly shot at his ex-wife's fiancé in an altercation. Van Wyk said the cause of the fight was being investigated. - Sapa

Yes that is true hey.I just hope that young ladies won't fall for these stupids again,cause see what happened in the end.She forced her way to her he daughter,now my question is"what about their son,does she feel so little for him"? To drag the daughter out of the taxi if any social worker had to see that she would be in trouble.I can understand why he shot that guy,just imagine my daughter going with a tronk voel.What if her mother is not present you know how they are if they don't get you then the people close to you have to suffer.I mean he is a boss himself and I don't think he went there with the intention to shoot this creep.He went to go pick up his children and that's it.Where was she yesterday when the kids was suppose to be picked up?She did not bother and now today see what happened all because he took the car.Ag come on then work for your own stuff and stop let other people work for you.That guy just came from jail and his driving a black Golf?Please!!!!!People should really think before they comment.Why stop him and she new he will be there.I blame her she knew there will be bad blood between the 2.Why still go and argue about the children.You getting your maintenance then leave it at that.

This was a deal between the mother and father.Why did that tronk voel put his mouth in their family life any way?She was stupid cause she knew the father was going to pick up his kids and the dump mother actually went with her lover.How stupid and gullible can you be.Why didn't you just leave the kids with their father they would have had a better life then with you.By the way that was not a hit.I also live in Manenberg.She knew she will have nothing after her husband was done with her so she knew in what state he was.Why let them still argue.A tronk voel and taxi baas not a good combination!!!!!!!!!!!

@ Benson, this was not a hit! I'm also from Manenberg and this guy went to fetch his kids @ school. Why did the mother of the kids want to the girl to travel with her and her gangsta boyfriend? Why could she not travel with her brother and father? If this woman did not go out and have an affair and a kid with her gangsta, this would not have happened. The father was protecting his children.

Criminals being granted bail time and time again! Bring on the Kangaroo courts as the ligitimate law enforcement agencies who will deal with the scum roaming the streets! Lets have a referendum on this issue seing that the majority requesting the return of the "Death Penalty" is just falling on deaf ears! ANC are just looking after their own to the dtriment to us law abiding citizens!

@Badballie - maybe lynching would not be such a bad idea since the police and government dont seem to be helping. We need to get rid of these gangsters as they are destroying our society!

it was 100 metres from the school gate and not 500m as i live in the road.part of kings road and bloemendal road was was cornered off until 18h50 last night, making it virtually impossible to get home.its unfortunate that someone lost his life but its a love triangle gone wrong.

Why do the SAPS want to investigate the cause of the scuffle when the shooting took place in full view of credible witnesses??

500m from the school! 500m is half a kilometre! Shot outside a school! Usually a few metres! Huh! Please! How big was the area that needed to be cordoned off?

As the judiciary and police force are fairly much a waste of oxygen, shouldn't we just start lynching these people on the spot, it would save the taxpayer a little money at least although I'm sure the ANC would quickly find a new tax to claim the savings on.
