Man shot dead in Brits

Brits - A 58-year-old man was hit with a brick and shot dead at his home in Elandsrand near Brits, North West police said on Wednesday.

Colonel Emelda Setlhako said the man was with his domestic worker on Monday when he went inside the house to fetch his cellphone charger.

The domestic worker heard a person screaming inside the house and went to see what was happening.

She found her employer physically fighting with an unknown man.

“A gunshot was fired and the suspect ran away.”

Setlhako said police found the man lying dead with multiple gunshot wounds and severe bruises.
