Johannesburg - A man was shot in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg, on Thursday, Gauteng police said.
“It was an armed robbery,” said Lieutenant Juanita Coetzer.
Paramedics said the man was in a critical condition.
“(A) helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured man to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required,” said Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann.
