A man was shot and injured outside his house in Reiger Park, Boksburg, Gauteng police said on Friday.

Lieutenant-Colonel Katlego Mogale said the 36-year-old man and his friends were shot at while standing in the front yard of his home on Thursday evening.

“An unknown man approached the men before opening fire on them. The group scattered and one man was wounded.”

He was rushed to a nearby hospital. A case of attempted murder was being investigated.
