Johannesburg - A man, believed to be in his 20s, was critically wounded when he was stabbed in the back in Angola Drive in Cosmo City in Johannesburg on Saturday night, Gauteng paramedics said.
“ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by local authorities for further backup,” ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the man lying on the side of the road surrounded by numerous police officers.
On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained serious stab wounds to his back, leaving him in a critical condition. The man was treated on the scene and provided with advanced life support interventions before being transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for further treatment, Meiring said.
