Lady Frere - A man has been murdered in Lady Frere, near Queenstown in the Eastern Cape, police said on Monday.

The body of the 25-year-old man was found around 8pm on Saturday in Mahlangu Location, said Lieutenant Pumzile Makaula.

It appeared the man had been stabbed in the chest.

The man was apparently last seen at a friend's house, said Makaula.
