Mthatha - The assault trial of Mandla Mandela, grandson of late former president Nelson Mandela, was adjourned in the Mthatha Magistrate's Court on Monday, the SABC reported.
Earlier, complainant Mlamli Ngudle, a teacher, told the court how Mandela allegedly assaulted him in October last year, according to the broadcaster.
Ngudle described how, on Sprigg Street in Mthatha, Mandela stepped on him and pointed a firearm.
This was after Ngudle lifted up his arms as Mandela approached his car with the firearm.
Ngudle told the court that since the alleged attack, his speech had been affected, and his doctor had put him on leave in November, December, January, and until June, as he could not cope, the SABC reported.
