Manhunt launched for 10 robbery suspects

Port Elizabeth – Port Elizabeth police are on the hunt for 10 suspects following a robbery in Motherwell in the Eastern Cape which took place on Friday morning.

Police spokesperson, Constable Mncedi Mbombo said that it was alleged a group of men kicked the door open in a house at Mgwenyana street in Motherwell NU6 at about 4am.

"They assaulted both husband and a wife who were inside the house before taking all electrical items in the house," said Mbombo.

The suspects fled the scene in a Toyota Quantum.

No shots were fired although two of the suspects had firearms.

The value of the goods taken from the house was estimated at about R15 000.

Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
