Caoe Town - Cape Town police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and beat her up after she dumped him.

The woman says during her four-hour ordeal, her married former lover tied her up, choked her and beat her eyes shut.

Carmen Nomdoe, 44, was left with fractures to her face and massive bruising after she was locked up inside the suspect’s Hyundai vehicle.

Police are now looking for Victor Moses, of Steenberg, who allegedly kidnapped Nomdoe on January 4, and is on the run.

Sergeant DR Stemmet of Kensington says they suspect Moses may be hiding out in the vicinity of Goodwood, Parow, Bellville or Elsies River.

The mother of four from Manenberg said she and Moses were in a four-year relationship before she found out he was married, and she immediately broke things off.

She said: “On December 27, I learnt he was married, after my son saw pictures of him on Facebook. [Victor] denied it and kept messaging me, saying that he will show me proof with letters.

“On January 4, he sent me messages from before 4am asking if we can meet or go to the beach because he wanted us to be friends, but I said no.”

She eventually gave in, and they met in Kensington where her brother lives.

But after getting into his car, Moses drove off like “a bat out of hell” all the way to Malmesbury.

“He was very forceful but he never did something like this before,” Nomdoe said.

“He pulled me closer and as he drove, he started beating me in the face.”

He then allegedly forced her to climb into a boot and shoved her panty into her mouth, threatening to kill her.

“We were in Atlantis and he didn’t have petrol. He said if I scream, he will kill me,” she added.

“He asked what panty I had on and asked me to take it off and put it into my mouth.

“He told me to get into the boot and tied my hands and legs when he went to the petrol station.

Hours later, he took her to his friend’s house in Samora Machel.

She continues: “There was a 25-litre bath filled with water and soap for me to wash.

“He drove me home, but on our way there he said he will get five years [for kidnapping and assaulting me] and that I must go to the police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating officer, Detective Morgan, on 084 048 6960 or 021 594 7032.
