East London - Four men stole an undisclosed amount of money from a shop at Nu 13, in Mdantsane, near East London, on Wednesday, Eastern Cape police said.
They tied up the security guards on duty and took their equipment before forcing their way into the store, Captain Mluleki Mbi said.
“They took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene,” Mbi said.
The guards freed themselves and went to call for help from a nearby petrol station.
“No shots were fired and no one was injured,” Mbi said.
