Five men accused of the murder of a former Inkatha Freedom Party councillor in Jozini appeared in the Ubombo Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

The matter was postponed to July 2 for a bail application, said police spokesman Captain Thulani Zwane.

Velaphi Gumede, 50, was shot and killed in Mandonya, northern KZN on June 13 this year. - Sapa
