Johannesburg - Two men have been robbed of money and cellphones in Zola, Soweto, police said on Wednesday.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said the men were in a house when two men entered on Tuesday evening.

“The men were wore wigs to disguise (themselves) and took two cellphones and R5000.”

It appeared that the robbers knew their victims, because they knew they had gone to the bank during the day, he said. Makhubela said the robbers hit one of the men on the mouth with the gun and he was taken to hospital.

No arrests had been made. - Sapa
