Minister’s son robbed at home

Pretoria - The son of State Security Minister Siyabonga Cwele was locked in his bathroom following a robbery at his house in Sunnyside this week.

At about 7pm on Tuesday night, when Luyanda Cwele returned home from a store near his house, he was accosted by an unknown man with a firearm.

Cwele reported electronic equipment, jewellery, his car keys and his wallet stolen.

He was locked in the bathroom until his gardener found him on Wednesday morning when he reported for duty.

Cwele was not hurt and the police were contacted.

No arrests have yet been made.
