Cape Town - There was widespread relief among police and volunteer organisations, when a three-year-old child reported missing in Kraaifontein was found.

Al-Jane Daniels was reported missing on February 12, but was found late on Wednesday, said Dessie Rechner of the Pink Ladies Organisation for Missing Children.

A motorist had found the child walking on the N2 and had taken her to the Manenberg police, from where she was passed on to a caregiver, Rechner said.

The toddler went missing with her mother Shivern Daniels, who was later found, but Al-Jane remained missing until Wednesday.
