Johannesburg - The trial of a man accused of killing honeymoon tourist Anni Dewani was expected to continue in the Cape High Court on Wednesday.

The trial was postponed on Tuesday after the accused, Xolile Mngeni, vomited blood during the lunch break and was taken to a doctor.

Judge Robert Henney ordered that a doctor's certificate be produced when the trial be resumed.

Mngeni was found fit to stand trial despite having a malignant brain tumour.

He was implicated in the murder of Anni Dewani, who was shot dead in an apparent hijacking in Gugulethu on November 13, 2010.

Anni's husband, Shrien Dewani, has been fingered as the mastermind behind her murder.

Mngeni has pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances, murder, and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. - Sapa
