Model Lee-Ann Liebenberg’s husband Nicky van der Walt has been hijacked in the driveway of his Parkview, Joburg, home.
Van der Walt was hijacked around 3pm on Wednesday by three armed men.
They forced him out of his Range Rover and took his Rolex watch before fleeing in his vehicle. Liebenberg and their one-year-old daughter were in the house at the time.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Tshisikhawe Ndou said Van der Walt’s vehicle was recovered about 10 minutes later not far from their Parkview house. He was not injured.
Ndou said it was too early to say this was the work of the Rolex gang. The gang’s modus operandi is to identify victims with Rolexes at shopping centres and then follow them home. - The Star
