Johannesburg - The mother of two girls found dead in Katlehong appeared in the Heidelberg Magistrate's Court on Friday, Gauteng police said.
“The case was postponed to October 28,” said Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini.
Esther Moyana faces two charges of murder for allegedly poisoning her children.
On Wednesday, Katlehong residents found the toddlers, aged one and three, dead in a field near Zonkizizwe, Katlehong.
Moyana was admitted to hospital in a critical condition, but was discharged and placed under arrest on Thursday.
She initially told the police that her husband abandoned her and the children in the veld on Tuesday, while on their way from Witbank to Johannesburg. She claimed he left them with a cooldrink, which they drank tat night. When she woke in the morning, the children were dead.
Police later said there appeared to be discrepancies in Moyana's story.
Her husband had been located and made a statement to police, Dlamini said on Thursday.
