KwaZulu-Natal - A KwaZulu-Natal woman has allegedly kidnapped her two daughters in Kloof, west of Durban, police said on Friday.

Colonel Vincent Mdunge said the father was awarded custody of the children by the high court when he and his wife divorced, but he last saw them in February.

“It is alleged that the mother had visited her children at their school (St Mary's Primary) for a week... in order to win their trust and confidence with various promises.”

Mdunge said Thuthukile Nokuphila Immaculate Goba, 40, a medical doctor, took the children from school on February 22 and fled. They are aged seven and five.

He said reports suggested that Goba was in Braamfontein in Gauteng earlier this year, but it was believed she had since gone back to Durban.

She was being sought for kidnapping and the contravention of the high court order. - Sapa
