Molweni, KwaZulu-Natal - The bodies of a woman and her daughter were found on Friday in Molweni, north west of Durban, police said.
Police believe Sibongile Thusini, 45, and her daughter Mpume Mabaso, 21, were attacked and kidnapped by two people from their home in Phoenix, north of Durban, around 1am on Friday morning, said Colonel Jay Naicker.
“One of the suspects is known to the family. It is alleged that the two victims were assaulted and their bodies were put in the suspect's vehicle and they drove away,” he said.
“Their bodies were later recovered today near Molweni Cemetery, inside the vehicle.”
No arrests have been made with the motive for the attack unknown.
