Johannesburg - A Mozambican man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man to death in central Johannesburg, police said on Tuesday.
Warrant Office Xoli Mbele said the 24-year-old Mozambican allegedly stabbed a 23-year-old man at the corner of Carr and Miriam Makeba streets on Monday. He was arrested later on Monday at the corner of Henry Nxumalo and President streets.
He was stabbed once and died on the scene. The motive for the murder was not known.
“(The) knife used in the commission of a crime was not recovered,” Mbele said.
The man was expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court soon. - Sapa
