Ermelo - The Gert Sibande District Municipality's suspended accountant creditor has been arrested for alleged fraud, Mpumalanga police said on Thursday.
The 27-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly being linked to R9.8 million which was fraudulently transferred out of the municipality's accounts, said Colonel Leonard Hlathi.
He would appear in the Ermelo Magistrate's Court on fraud charges on Monday.
More arrests were expected, Hlathi said. - Sapa
