Johannesburg -No rallies will be organised by the ANC Youth League ahead of its expelled president Julius Malema's appearance in a Limpopo court, it said on Monday.
The office of acting ANC Youth League president Ronald Lamola said in a statement league members had been warned not to organise rallies - either in support of Malema, or otherwise - under the auspices of the ANCYL.
Malema is scheduled to appear in the Polokwane Regional Court on Friday on a charge of money-laundering.
He was granted bail during his last court appearance on September 26.
“Attendance of the court case by members of the ANC Youth League would be in their individual personal capacities,” Lamola's office said.
“The ANC Youth League does not have a case to answer for, hence it cannot be party to the court case process.” - Sapa
