North West murder, rape fugitives nabbed

Rustenburg - Two murder suspects in the North West who were on the run since December last year, have been were arrested, North West police said on Thursday.

Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said the men, aged 19 and 21, were wanted for allegedly stabbing Vusi Qholoma to death in Khuma on December 30, 2015.

“It is alleged that Qholoma was walking from the taxi rank when he was robbed of his cellphones and stabbed fatally by the suspects,” she said.

“An investigation was conducted and that led the police to the arrest of the two suspects. The first suspect, a 21-year-old was arrested on Tuesday, 19 July 2016, at Ikageng near Potchefstroom and the second suspect, a 19-year-old was arrested on Wednesday, 20 July 2016, in Rustenburg.”

They were also wanted in connection with two separate rape cases, one last year and the other in June.
